1. Agreement

These terms are a contract between you and Bakame (“we”) for the Bakame app for Windows and this website. Downloading, signing in, paying, or using Bakame means you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Bakame.

2. The service

Bakame is an AI assistant that runs on your Windows PC. It can answer from what you type, from a screenshot, or from live voice, and it can stay out of screen capture by apps that record through Windows. A plan lasts 30 days from payment. It does not renew by itself.

3. Your responsibility

You are responsible for how you use Bakame. You must follow the rules of every interview, exam, employer, school, and meeting platform you join. Many of them forbid outside help. Bakame does not give you permission to break those rules. If a person, school, employer, or platform says you misused help, that claim is yours to answer, not ours.

You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live. You must use an account that is yours.

4. What we do not promise

• Answers can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. They are not legal, medical, financial, or professional advice. You decide what to say or submit.
• A camera pointed at your monitor can still see Bakame. Some lockdown browsers block it. Hiding from screen capture is not a promise that nobody can ever see it.
• Voice from your speakers can be picked up by your microphone. Use headphones in a call if you do not want that.
• The service can be interrupted for maintenance, limits, or failures of networks, AI providers, or mobile money.

5. Accounts

You can try Bakame without an account. Signing in uses Google. You are responsible for activity on your signed-in account. We may refuse or close an account that breaks these terms, abuses the service, or is used to commit fraud.

6. Plans and payment

Plan prices are listed in US dollars so they are easy to compare. You pay with Rwanda mobile money, and the amount is shown before you approve it on your phone. Each payment covers the period shown and does not renew. Credits are shown with each plan.

Payments that are completed are not refunded, except where the law requires a refund or where we confirm we took a payment in error. A failed or rejected mobile-money request is not a charge. If a payment is under review, do not pay again for the same order until it finishes.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use Bakame to break the law, to attack or disrupt systems, to steal credentials or data, to send malware, or to overload the service. You may not resell access, share your account, or try to bypass plan limits.

8. Your content

You keep ownership of what you type, your screenshots, and your audio. You give us permission to process that material only to produce the answer you asked for and to run the account, payments, and abuse prevention. Notes you keep in the app are stored on your PC. Chat you ask us to answer is sent to our AI service for that request.

9. Names and logos

Bakame, the rabbit mark, and the site design belong to us. Names and logos of other products, including meeting, recording, and coding-test apps, belong to their owners. Showing them means Bakame was built to work alongside those apps. It is not a partnership, sponsorship, or endorsement.

10. Software licence

The app includes software from the OpenCluely project by TechyCSR and contributors, under the Apache License 2.0. That licence, the copyright notices, and the notices for other components ship with the app. These terms govern your use of the Bakame service. They do not replace the Apache License for the open-source parts.

11. Disclaimer

Bakame is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim every warranty, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of answers, uninterrupted operation, and that use of Bakame will comply with the rules of any interview, exam, employer, or platform.

12. Limit on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost marks, lost jobs, lost income, lost data, or any indirect or consequential loss, even if we were told it was possible. Our total liability for a claim arising from Bakame is limited to the amount you paid us for Bakame in the 30 days before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

13. Your responsibility for claims

If someone makes a claim against us because of the way you used Bakame, including in an interview, exam, job, or meeting, you will cover the resulting loss, damages, and reasonable legal costs, except to the extent the claim was caused by our own breach of these terms.

14. Ending access

You may stop using Bakame and delete your account in the app. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms, if a payment is reversed, or if we stop offering Bakame. Sections that by their nature should survive, including disclaimers, liability limits, and responsibility for claims, keep applying.

15. Changes

We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page with a new date. If you keep using Bakame after that date, you agree to the updated terms. If you do not agree, stop using Bakame.

16. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Rwanda. Courts in Kigali have jurisdiction, except where the law gives you a right to sue somewhere else that cannot be waived.
